Program Overview

 

Civic Enterprise Network is active around the world in various civic societies and partnered organizations.  Our goals are to increase volunteerism, and to develop and expand existing nonprofits and social enterprises that effectively and efficiently respond to the needs of their local communities.

CURRENT PROGRAMS & PROJECTS

We have a series of programs meant to encourage volunteerism, entrepreneur education, and promote social enterprise creation and incubation.

  • Entrepreneur Education Curriculum

    • Purpose is to promote entrepreneurship within the classroom at various levels of education (secondary and undergraduate).

  • Corporate Social Responsibility Pledge

    • Purpose is to encourage companies to care about the communities that they work within. This primarily targets SME and newly established MNCs.

  • Citizen’s Social Responsibility Pledge

    • Purpose is to encourage citizens to value the communities that they live within. This primarily promotes volunteerism.

  • Civic Ideas Sheet

    • Purpose is to encourage a mindset that promotes volunteerism and charitable giving. This results from a conversation with community leaders (civil, corporate, and charitable).

  • Education Scholarships

    • Purpose is to encourage students to achieve a higher level of education.

Civic Enterprise Network (the Network) supports and creates civic societies and social enterprises around the globe. Below are a list of civic groups we recognize as important to creating positive change in their local regions.

I agree that volunteering is an important service to the community, and want to contribute my voice to the global discussion of how to make the world a better place. I understand that any position within Civic Enterprise Network will be unpaid and volunteer. I understand that Civic Enterprise Network requires me to accomplish tasks that help their programming and that all assignments can be accomplished using the Internet. In addition, I understand that when I will not be able to complete assignments, or need to adjust my schedule, it is required for me to communicate any concerns or restraints immediately to my supervisor, otherwise I risk losing my position within the organization.
